Meet Embellish Design

My sister Natalie, my mom Nancy, and I started making jewelry years ago and fell in love with it.  Since then we have turned our hobby into a business.  With the three of us creating together, we have a wide range of styles.  Due to the handmade nature of our jewelry, every piece is unique.  It is even more unique, however, in that we do not make more than a handful of similar designs, and many times your necklace will truly be one-of-a-kind.  There is something special about knowing that you will not run into dozens of other people wearing your same jewelry.  We use a variety of semiprecious stones.  Some of our favorites are coral, turquoise, jade, amazonite, and bronzite.  We also love to use a lot of silver, including handmade Indian Hill Tribe silver, such as seen in many of our pendant necklaces.

I (Monica) have always needed a creative outlet, and I like to dabble with making new things.  Years ago I started making baby items for gifts.  I make a variety of binkie clips, taggie blankets, nursing covers, headbands, and hair clips.  My son loved his binkie, but he also loved to spit it out.  If you are in a similar situation, where you have to retrieve and wash off a binkie 20 times a day, I recommend a binkie clip.  This way the binkie is always attached and I have some fun ribbon to match every outfit.  Nursing covers are the best way to nurse when there are others around.  Mine are reversible so it's basically like having two-in-one.  Taggie blankets are made to both comfort and entertain your child with the softest fabrics and a variety of ribbons for them to play with.  I also make fabric and elastic headbands for babies, kids, and adults.  I love headbands for days when I am running late (which to be honest, happens more that I would like to admit) and I don't have time to really do my hair.  Bed head never looked so good as with a cute headband.  It has been a great hobby and I enjoy my "me" time sewing in my basement while watching old movies late at night when my son is asleep and my poor husband is writing papers
